We are saddened to hear of the passing of one our most decorated club players Denis Coughlan Denis wore Glen Rovers /St Nicks and Cork GAA colours with huge distinction. Off the playing fields he served as an officer of both Glen Rovers and St Nicks with huge dedication .A legend on and off the playing fields Denis won five All-Ireland medals 12 Munster & four All-Stars in both codes he enjoyed huge success. In hurling he won All-Ireland senior medals in 1970, 1976, 1977 and 1978. He captained Cork footballers in 1967 and won an All Ireland football medal in 1973. With our club Denis five county senior three Munster two All-Ireland club medals. He captained us to our first All-Ireland club success in 1973. With St Nick’s he won senior football c'ship 1965 and 1966 and a Munster club medal in 1966 in the first ever Munster championship club final. Condolences to the Coughlan family on your loss.
